Native Explorers

The first Americans lived in small groups of twenty to fifty people. They never settled anywhere for a long period of time because they were always following the animals they hunted. People think their shelters might have been simple and not with much stuff to carry around all the time. The animals that the Native Americans hunted were very large. The hunters had an easier time killing them by driving them into swamps or over cliffs, rather than spearing them. Scientists got all their knowledge about hunters from the areas where animals were killed.
