Whether it is part of students formal project or whether it is simply done after the project is completed, provide your students with the opportunity to reflect on what they believe are the similarities and differences between the culture studied and what they know about US culture. Sometimes, this can be build directly into their projects. Since many students in the US are multicultural, that reflection often takes on an added dimension; students can examine not only how the other culture compares with US culture but how in compares with own individual cultural heritage.
